MattandCory are a film making duo from the outskirts of Boston, Ohio; otherwise known as Canton. The two started making videos back in the 90s with their friends Anthony Padilla and Ian Hecox. The group called themselves MattSmoshCory. Years later, following a dispute between the group of friends, Anthony and Ian decided to part ways with Matt and Cory. The two later started their own YouTube channel called Smosh leaving Matt and Cory with their channel (MattandCory). Smosh is now the most subscribed to YouTube channel in history, but MattandCory likes to take some of the credit considering they were Smoshs' first friends and inspiration.
With Anthony and Ian gone, MattandCory picked up 2 other members to be part of their crew. Brad and Ricky joined the cast of MattandCory in 2002. The group began to headline newspapers for their weekly television broadcast known as Friday Night Shenanigans. The show was finally cancelled in the Fall of '06 forcing MattandCory to become an internet exclusive.
MattandCory's quirky style of comedy is based on the actions of their idols Tim and Eric. Influenced greatly by the two, MattandCory are able to make ridiculous videos that almost no one likes because no one really appreciates Tim and Eric either. But no matter how many people get them down, MattandCory, along with Team Pun, are determined to make it back on top of the entertainment industry; one smile at a time.
